The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards recently concluded after handing out some of the most prestigious honours on Sunday at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles. The glamorous and grand ceremony recognised the best in American prime time television programming from June 1, 2024, until May 31, 2025, as chosen by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
Highlights of Emmy Awards 2025
The Studio made history at the Emmy Award 2025 by bagging a total 12 awards and becoming the most awarded comedy series in a single season. With that milestone, it beat the previous record of 11 awards set by The Bear last year. Seth Rogen's Apple TV+ series won awards for comedy acting, directing, and writing, among others.
Similarly, Adolescence won four awards in the limited series categories, including best supporting actor for 15-year-old Owen Cooper, who became the youngest male actor to have an Emmy award to his name. The Pitt grabbed the Outstanding Drama Series along with a couple of more honours.
On the other hand, Severance entered the ceremony as the top overall nominee and ended up winning in two categories. Also, Comedian Nate Bargatze made his hosting debut Sunday night.
