Liam Payne death: New photos from final hours show drinking, drugs and sex workers at his Buenos Aires hotel

Newly surfaced photographs from the investigation into Liam Payne's death are offering a glimpse into the One Direction singer's final hours at a Buenos Aires hotel. The images, part of more than 3,000 documents and photographs obtained by the Daily Mail, shed fresh light on Payne's movements at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel before his fatal fall in October 2024.

The material includes photographs of Payne drinking, interacting with two sex workers and moving around the hotel in the hours before his death. One image allegedly shows the singer swinging around a pole at the hotel the night before his death, while others reportedly capture hotel employees bringing alcohol to his room.

According to reports, Payne met two women in the hotel lobby the following day. The women reportedly told investigators that the singer sang for them and asked about obtaining cocaine. The report also claims that he asked for assistance in making crack cocaine.

Payne, who was 31, died on October 16, 2024, after falling around 46 feet from the third-floor balcony of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel. Prosecutors had previously said that he had spent much of his final day drinking, using drugs and meeting the two women.

Shortly before the fall, a hotel employee contacted emergency services after raising concerns that Payne could hurt himself. Investigators later suggested that the singer may have been attempting to leave his hotel room when he fell.

Toxicology tests subsequently detected cocaine, crack cocaine, ketamine and alcohol in Payne's system.

A troubled final trip

Payne had travelled to Argentina 16 days before his death while awaiting the renewal of his US visa. During the initial part of the trip, he spent time with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy and businessman Rogelio "Roger" Nores.

According to previous reports, Payne was sober and enjoying himself for much of the first two weeks of his stay. Cassidy left Argentina for Miami on October 14, two days before his death.

His final days reportedly became increasingly turbulent after an incident at the Park Hyatt, where he had been staying with Cassidy. Payne allegedly damaged his room and had a confrontation with hotel staff before leaving the property and checking into CasaSur Palermo.

The newly surfaced material now provides another look at those final hours, as investigators continue to piece together what happened before the singer's death.

Payne rose to global fame as a member of One Direction before pursuing a solo career. His death at 31 sent shockwaves through the music world, with fans and fellow musicians mourning the singer across the globe.
