Scarlett Johansson turns executive producer for The Nanny Diaries series adaptation

Streaming service Netflix is adapting The Nanny Diaries into a television series with Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson attached as executive producer.

The actor, who starred in the 2007 film adaptation of the same book by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus, will executive produce the upcoming series under her These Pictures banner, alongside Jonathan Lia and Keenan Flynn, as per reports. The film adaptation, directed by Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini, featured Johansson as Braddock.

What's it about?

The series revolves around a college student, Annie Braddock, from a working-class background, who takes a nanny's job with Mr and Mrs X, an affluent but highly dysfunctional Manhattan couple.
