It has been quite an eventful weekend for actor and chef Madhampatty Rangaraj, who tied the knot for the second time with stylist Joy Crizildaa. The announcement of their wedding came as a surprise to fans of the couple. However, shortly after sharing the wedding news, the pair stunned everyone again by revealing they are expecting their first child.
On Saturday, July 26, Joy took to social media to confirm her wedding with Madhampatty. The couple had a simple temple wedding, following all traditional Hindu rituals. Sharing a picture of Madhampatty applying sindoor on her forehead, Joy captioned it, "Mr and Mrs Rangaraj."
For the wedding, Joy wore a bright red saree with a golden border. She paired it with matching bangles and adorned her hair with jasmine flowers. Her hands were decorated with henna. Madhampatty, on the other hand, wore an off-white shirt and a traditional mundu.
Just hours after their wedding announcement, Joy shared more big news. She revealed that she is six months pregnant. Posting additional pictures from the ceremony, she wrote, "Baby loading 2025. We are pregnant. 6th month of pregnancy."
However, Madhampatty's first wife Shruti has claimed that they are still legally married. Shruti, an advocate from Coimbatore, was active on social media until recently and often posted pictures with their two children. Her Instagram feed still features photos with Madhampatty and their kids. Her bio also reads, "Madhampatty Rangaraj's wife," despite the actor moving on and marrying for the second time.
Madhampatty Rangaraj is an actor, entrepreneur, and chef. He serves as the Managing Director of Madhampatty Thangavelu Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., a leading catering enterprise in Tamil Nadu and neighboring states. He began his culinary journey in 1999, and his team has catered over 400 weddings, including actor Karthi's.
He made his debut as a lead actor in the Tamil film Mehandi Circus (2019), followed by a role in Penguin (2020). He is also widely known as a judge on the popular reality cooking show Cooku With Comali (Seasons 5 and 6) on Vijay TV.
