The monumental project featuring icon star Allu Arjun in an epic collaboration with blockbuster filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj was announced today. This highly anticipated venture brings together two of the most celebrated names in Indian cinema, promising a spectacular experience. The project was announced with a powerful video, raising the hype to the next level. It is backed by the prestigious Mythri Movie Makers in association with BV Works.
Introducing the theme of the film, the video features a bang-on and unbeatable BGM that perfectly complements its concept. It is clear evidence that Lokesh Kanagaraj is set to return on fire. The video itself looks absolutely groundbreaking and intriguing in every frame. Sharing it on Instagram, Arjun wrote, "I SAY 23. Goin on a spree. Low-Key G. Locked in mentally. That's a guarantee! The project is spearheaded by ace producers Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar, with producer Bunny Vas joining as co-producer, along with Nutty, Sandy, and Swathi. The official announcement video took social media by storm, sparking discussions about the scale and tone of this ambitious venture.
Allu Arjun, a phenomenon known for his unparalleled style, electrifying screen presence, and pan-India stardom, joins forces with Lokesh Kanagaraj, a director celebrated for redefining commercial cinema with his gritty narratives and high-impact filmmaking. Along with them, rockstar Anirudh has joined the team.
Tentatively titled AA23, the film is expected to present Allu Arjun in a never-seen-before avatar under Lokesh Kanagaraj's dynamic direction, making it one of the most awaited cinematic events in recent times.
Talking about Arjun, he was last seen in the action drama Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar. It went on to shatter box office records and was recently released in Japan.
Apart from this, Allu Arjun is also working on his film with director Atlee, tentatively referred to as AA22 X A6. While Deepika has been officially announced as the leading lady, actresses like Rashmika Mandanna, Mrunal Thakur, and Janhvi Kapoor are speculated to be part of the project.
Up next, Arjun is all set to reunite with Trivikram for a grand mythological epic, marking their fourth collaboration together. The film is reportedly scheduled to go on floors in February 2027.
