Nearly a decade after Baahubali: The Conclusion created box office history, fans finally have a reason to celebrate. Actor Prabhas has seemingly confirmed that Baahubali 3 is in the works, sending social media into a frenzy.
The announcement came during a special event celebrating the legacy of the blockbuster franchise. Prabhas was joined by his co-stars Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty, whose rare public appearance delighted fans. The reunion also featured filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli and other members of the Baahubali team, making it a nostalgic moment for audiences who have long awaited another chapter in the epic saga.
Speaking on stage, Prabhas hinted that the story of Baahubali is far from over. Responding to the excitement surrounding the franchise, he confirmed that a third instalment is indeed on the cards, sparking loud cheers from the audience. While he did not reveal plot details or a production timeline, his statement was enough to ignite anticipation among fans across the country.
The event quickly went viral online, with videos of the cast reunion circulating widely on social media. Fans were particularly thrilled to see Anushka Shetty alongside Prabhas and Rana Daggubati after a long time. Their on-stage camaraderie reminded audiences of the chemistry that made Amarendra Baahubali, Devasena and Bhallaladeva iconic characters in Indian cinema.
The Baahubali franchise remains one of the biggest milestones in Indian film history. Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) introduced audiences to Rajamouli's grand vision, while Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017) shattered multiple box office records and became one of India's highest-grossing films. The franchise also earned global recognition for its visual scale, storytelling and action sequences.
Although an official announcement regarding the film's production schedule is still awaited, Prabhas' confirmation has fuelled speculation that the makers are finally ready to revisit the beloved universe. Fans have already begun sharing theories about possible storylines and the return of familiar characters.
For now, the makers have remained tight-lipped about further details, including the shooting schedule and release date. However, the reunion of Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty, coupled with the confirmation of Baahubali 3, has reignited excitement for what could become one of the most anticipated Indian films of the coming years.
