After a mishap unfolded at a Toxic pre-release event in Hyderabad, the Cyberabad Police have now registered a case against the venue and the event management. The case comes after about four people were reportedly injured in an incident at the event.

Case registered after Toxic pre-release event mishap

On Saturday, a speaker stand at the Hyderabad event collapsed, causing people climbing up on it to fall down to the ground. The film's lead actor, Yash, was addressing the crowd on stage when the incident took place.

Police told PTI that four people, including a student, were injured after a sound box system collapsed during the pre-release event. The event was organised at a private university, the Malla Reddy University in Medchal, on Saturday.

A group of young fans reportedly climbed onto the sound box system stand to get a better glimpse of the actor when he was on the stage, and it suddenly collapsed. Four people fell from the stand and sustained injuries. All four injured were taken to a hospital, police shared.

"One student suffered a leg fracture while three others had minor injuries," a senior police official stated. A case has now been registered against the institution's management and the event manager. Videos of the incident were also captured and shared on social media by people at the venue.

Yash reportedly halted the event when he learned of the mishap and asked the organisers to attend to the injured fans first. The actor, who was on stage when the speaker's stand collapsed, paused his speech midway and asked, "Are they okay? Please check."
