Mohanlal pens emotional note after receiving 'deeply moving response' to Drishyam 3

Mohanlal starrer Drishyam 3 has finally hit the big screens on Thursday, May 21, 2026. The third and final instalment of the Drishyam franchise has taken the box office by storm and has also been receiving an overwhelming response from the fans. As the film, helmed by Jeethu Joseph released, Mohanlal took to X to pen a heartfelt note for fans.

Taking to X, the actor penned, "Drishyam 3 was made with immense love, passion, and gratitude, and seeing that love come back through your response has been deeply moving. Your reviews, your words, and the emotions you have shared mean far more to me than any number ever can. Thank you for watching, for connecting, for feeling every moment, and for embracing Georgekutty and family as your own (sic)."

Drishyam Part 1 was released in 2013 and was a super hit at the box office. For his performance in the film, Mohanlal even won multiple awards.

Following the success of Drishyam 1, Drishyam 2 was released in 2021 on Amazon Prime Video and impressed the audience. Now, the third and final instalment, Drishyam 3, was released, amid high expectations and buzz.

Earlier today, the actor celebrated his birthday, which coincides with the release of Drishyam 3, with his fans. Photos and videos of celebrations that reportedly took place at a packed theatre went viral. Fans gathered in huge numbers to watch the much-anticipated third instalment, but the excitement peaked when Mohanlal unexpectedly appeared among the crowd, turning the cinema hall into a massive celebration. Fans erupted in cheers, and the actor was seen greeting them warmly, waving at the audience and participating in the festivities. One of the clips also shows Mohanlal cutting a birthday cake while surrounded by enthusiastic fans chanting his name.
