Thalapathy Vijay's farewell film Jana Nayagan is set for a global release on January 9, 2026. Fans are gearing up for a historic moment as they prepare for one last first-day-first-show (FDFS) of a Vijay film. Ahead of its release, it has now been confirmed that the film's first show will begin at 4 am.
Trade analyst AB George revealed that distributors have confirmed Jana Nayagan's earliest show will take place in Kerala. A special fan show has been organised by one of Vijay's fan clubs, making it the earliest screening of the film worldwide so far.
The film is also generating strong buzz on the business front. Early trends and overseas advance bookings point towards a massive opening, with trade circles predicting one of the strongest starts of Vijay's career, especially in international markets.
Meanwhile, the superstar has landed in Malaysia ahead of the grand audio launch of Jana Nayagan. He received a warm and grand welcome, made special by a Silat performance - Malaysia's national martial art - celebrating his presence and global popularity.
The traditional performance, accompanied by music and powerful moves, highlighted Vijay's deep connection with fans across countries. Videos from the welcome have since gone viral, further adding to the excitement surrounding the film and its audio launch.
Directed by H. Vinoth, known for his compelling narratives and layered storytelling, the film promises a story driven by purpose, consequence, and conviction. The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, and the film features a strong ensemble cast including Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani, and Narain.
