Kalki 2898 AD director Nag Ashwin recently announced some good news to his fans. The filmmaker and his wife, Priyanka Dutt, took to Instagram to announce that they are all set to embrace parenthood yet again. The couple is all set to welcome their second baby after their firstborn son, Rishi.

Nag Ashwin took to his Instagram handle and shared a picture in which the family of three are seen dressed in white ensembles. He, along with his wife, son and pet, was seen posing for the camera. Although he did not attach a long caption to the post to make the announcement, he simply dropped a red heart and an evil eye emoji. It was Priyanka's baby bump that is visible in the picture, which confirmed that the couple are all set to embrace parenthood again.

As soon as Ashwin shared the picture on his Instagram, fans and industry fans began reacting to it. One fan wrote, "Ooooo! Congratulations!! Time to recreate the photo again! I see the same chair too :)." "Aww congratulations priyankacdutt. May Devi Durga Maa bless you," another user wrote.

Nag Ashwin married Priyanka Dutt, the second daughter of producer C. Aswani Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies in December 2015. The couple later welcomed a son, named Rishi in 2017. And now, almost nine years later, the couple is set to welcome their second child.

On the workfront, the filmmaker is currently working on the Kalki 2898 AD sequel, which is one of the most awaited films. During the post-release promotions of Sing Geetham, Nag Ashwin had shared a major update on the second instalment. "We might start the regular shoot either in August or September. That's the update for now. Hopefully, we will work for a long stretch and complete most of the filming. Most of it has already been prepped, and the writing is done. So, it will be a much faster process," he said.
