Kantara fame Rishab Shetty to debut in Telugu films with Ashwin Gangaraju's upcoming as lead

Well-known production house Sithara Entertainment on Wednesday (July 30) announced that Kannada director and actor Rishab Shetty, best known for his pan-India film Kantara (2022), will play the lead in director Ashwin Gangaraju's next Telugu film.

Taking to its X timeline, Sithara Entertainment wrote, "Not all rebels are forged in battle. Some are chosen by destiny and this is that story of a rebel. Proudly announcing @SitharaEnts Production No36 with the versatile and dynamic @shetty_rishab garu. Directed by @AshwinGangaraju. Produced by @vamsi84and @Fortune4Cinemas (sic)."

For Shetty, this will be a significant film as it will mark his debut in Telugu. Shooting for the actor's eagerly awaited Kantara: Chapter 1, the prequel to the immensely popular pan-India blockbuster Kantara, has already been wrapped.
