One of India's most celebrated production houses, Hombale Films, had recently announced its expansion into the overseas distribution space, and Peddi now becomes the prestigious banner's first international distribution venture, starring Mega Powerstar Ram Charan.
After redefining the scale of Indian cinema with blockbusters like KGF, Kantara, and Salaar, Hombale Films has now taken a significant step forward by venturing into international distribution, beginning with one of the most anticipated pan-Indian films of 2026, Peddi.
Over the years, Hombale Films has built a strong reputation for delivering cinematic spectacles that combine rooted storytelling with massive theatrical appeal. Their films have consistently crossed language and regional barriers, creating a loyal audience base not just in India but across global markets.
With Peddi, Hombale Films is set to directly strengthen its international footprint, marking this as the banner's first official overseas distribution acquisition. The move is already being seen as a major boost for the film's worldwide release prospects.
The association of Hombale Films with Peddi has significantly amplified excitement in trade and fan circles, with expectations of a massive overseas rollout across key international territories.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi has generated tremendous buzz for its raw action-packed backdrop, powerful visuals, and Ram Charan's intense transformation. Adding further weight to the project is music by Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman.
Peddi is slated for a grand worldwide theatrical release on June 4th.
In 2025, Hombale Films produced Kantara: Chapter 1, one of the highest-grossing Indian films of the year, and presented Mahavatar Narsimha. Both films received formal listing in the Academy Awards' General Entry List for Oscar consideration, thus securing their places among the approximately 200+ films worldwide eligible for nomination in various categories like Best Picture and Best Animated Feature.
The production house is all set with their upcoming films, which include Salaar 2, a film with Hrithik Roshan, KGF 3 and many more lined up.
By stepping into overseas distribution, Hombale Films strengthens its commitment to expanding the global footprint of Indian cinema, bringing it closer to viewers in every corner of the world.
