Ram Charan
Actor Ram Charan is currently busy wrapping up the shoot of his upcoming film Peddi, which is scheduled to be released on April 30. However, on Tuesday, during the shoot, the actor sustained an injury. The news spread quickly, and concerned fans believed that he had injured his eye. Now, the film's team has confirmed that the actor was indeed hurt.
A source from the team of Peddi told Hindustan Times that the actor sustained an injury near his eye. "Ram Charan was shooting for an action episode yesterday (Tuesday) and was injured. He had to get four sutures," the source shared.
They also clarified that his eye is fine. "He was injured above his eye, not his eye, like some seem to believe. His eye is fine."
The actor has not taken a break and resumed work after medical attention. "He is back to work as it's a minor injury and there's nothing to worry about," they added.
According to a report in 123Telugu, the Buchi Babu Sana directorial may face a potential delay. The film is yet to wrap up shooting, but if the makers complete it in time, it can still meet the April 30 release date.
Quoting a source, the portal reported, "Only a few portions of the shoot are still pending, including a special item song and a few minor scenes. The makers reportedly need around ten more days of call sheets to complete the entire shoot. If everything goes according to plan, the team is confident of wrapping up the film very soon."
The team of the upcoming Telugu film has urged fans not to believe rumours circulating on social media about the film's final runtime.
Publicist Vamsi Sekhar took to X to say, "Don't believe any rumours circulating online about the final runtime of Peddi. Only the first half has been locked, and the re-recording is in the completion stage by A. R. Rahman. The second half is currently in the final shooting stage, with editing progressing simultaneously at a brisk pace. It will be completed very soon. Everything is right on track for the grand release on April 30, 2026."
