Samantha Ruth Prabhu is all set to enter one of the happiest phases of her life as she prepares to welcome her first child with husband Raj Nidimoru. Amid the excitement and anticipation around the arrival of their baby, and days after making the announcement, the couple recently celebrated a private baby shower. Pictures from the intimate gathering with family have now taken over social media.

In the pictures circulating on social media, it seems to be a warm and personal ceremony, with only close family members and relatives in attendance. Fans were happy to see the couple all smiles as they sat together twinning in matching outfits and celebrated the baby shower.

Samantha wore a maroon embroidered ethnic outfit with subtle gold detailing and paired it with minimal jewellery and her natural makeup. Meanwhile, Raj Nidimoru complemented her look with a maroon silk kurta and white bottoms.

In one of the pictures, they are seen posing for the camera while sitting on the couch with garlands around their necks. In the background a family picture from Samantha and Raj's wedding is seen framed on the wall. In another picture, an elderly woman is seen performing the rituals and giving gifts to the mother-to-be as the couple smiles.

The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore in December 2025. The couple is expecting their first child later this year. Speculation around Samantha's pregnancy began doing the rounds after her appearance at the success celebration of Maa Inti Bangaaram. Many noticed Samantha's baby bump was visible from her fitted white bodycon top paired with blue denim.

Later, Samantha had made the announcement during the success celebrations of Maa Inti Bangaaram. "After Maa Inti Bangaaram, I will have to take a small break, given my condition. I'll have to take maternity leave. After that, I'll be back with another film for my fans," Samantha said during the event.

Recently, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Samantha got candid about motherhood and said, "It's definitely new and exciting. But I've been waiting for this moment for a while now. I've always wanted to be a mother. So I know that I'll be giving this my all."
