Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga dropped a special birthday surprise for rebel star Prabhas, giving fans a glimpse into their much-awaited collaboration, Spirit, backed by Bhushan Kumar. The gesture has stirred excitement across the industry, with anticipation now running high for this powerful duo's next venture. The film promises an intense face-off between Prabhas and Prakash Raj.

Prabhas-starrer Spirit sound story out

The teaser offers an intriguing glimpse into Prakash Raj's character - a strict, no-nonsense IPS officer known for his discipline and dominance. The highlight of the clip comes when Prabhas says in his intense style, "Mr. Superintendent, bachpan se meri ek buri aadat hai." To this, Prakash Raj retorts sharply, "What?" The screen then dramatically transitions to reveal the film's title - Spirit. From their exchange, it appears that Prabhas plays an IPS officer who now finds himself in prison.

The video doesn't feature any visuals but unfolds as a voice-driven narrative with text, much like the announcement for Vanga's previous film, Animal. Sharing the video, Vanga wrote, "Happy Birthday Prabhas anna. Presenting a ‘SOUND-STORY' in five Indian languages straight from the heart, for every fan who's felt his."

About Spirit cast

The video also confirms the main cast of the film, featuring Triptii Dimri, Kanchana, Prakash Raj, and Vivek Oberoi alongside Prabhas. To note, before Triptii Dimri, Deepika Padukone was confirmed as the leading lady of the film. However, she was ousted from the project sparking a working hour debate. Spirit is expected to go on floors soon and is slated for a grand release in 2027.

Reacting to the post, Vivek wrote, "One Bad Habit is all it takes to get you in spirit mode. And what a powerful SOUND STORY that was! Happy Birthday to the Rebel Star, Prabhas! Hoping the surprise lifted your spirits! Super kicked about bringing this action to life with your unmatched magic imvangasandeep!"

Backed by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, Spirit is set to be a grand-scale pan-world entertainer. With Prabhas taking on the role of a fierce and intense cop, and Triptii bringing her distinctive screen presence to the narrative, Spirit is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films on the horizon.
