Shruti Haasan confirms split
Actor Shruti Haasan has officially ended her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Santanu Hazarika. She revealed this during an Instagram Ask Me Anything (AMA) session.

On Thursday, May 23, Shruti hosted an AMA session, and when a fan asked about her relationship status with the question "single or committed," the Salaar actor responded, "I don't enjoy answering these questions, but, I am entirely single and willing to mingle. Only working and enjoying my life. Enough?"

Rumours about the (now ex) couple breaking up
Just four weeks ago, the rumour mills were rife with reports of a split. The rumours circulating suggested that the long-time lovers have now parted ways. In a recent post by a paparazzo account claimed that Shruti Haasan and Santanu Hazarika have broken up.
The report by the paparazzo account Viral Bhayani also suggests that they have unfollowed each other on Instagram. This is not it, as just recently, Shruti has penned down a cryptic note which hints towards her reported break up. Shruti, while sharing it to her social media account, wrote, "It's been a crazy ride, learning so much about myself and about people. We should never be sorry for all the things we can be or need to be."
However, it should be noted that neither of the two has officially spoken up about these rumours surrounding their relationship. Shruti and Santanu, who have never hidden their love from the world, are yet to clarify about their relationship status. It was just yesterday when HT, in their report, confirmed Shruti and Santanu's break up. A source revealed to the portal that the couple had called it quits last month. "They broke up last month. Since there were personal wavelength issues, they decided to part ways amicably," the source said.
It was earlier this year when the couple sparked wedding rumours when social media sensation Orry aka Orhan Awatramani referred to Santanu as Shruti's husband. However, Shruti later clarified that they are not married. "So, I'm not married. For someone who has been open about every single thing, why would I hide this? LOL. So people who don't know me at all, please calm down," she wrote on her Instagram stories.
Shruti and Santanu had a very interesting love story. The two became friends when Santanu slid into the actor's DMs and they both started talking. Later, the two started chatting and soon fell in love with each other. The two were in a live-in relationship.
