Shruti Haasan is set to feature in a special dance number in Peddi, headlined by global star Ram Charan. The actor is reportedly shooting for the high-energy track, adding yet another exciting element to one of 2026's most anticipated films.
Peddi, which also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Jagapathi Babu in key roles, has been steadily building massive buzz across the globe. The film has consistently remained in the spotlight, with its music already creating waves among fans.
Shruti's addition comes after reports of her being approached for Varanasi, further underlining her growing demand and presence in some of Indian cinema's biggest upcoming projects.
Peddi's music album has emerged as a major talking point, with every release adding to the film's growing appeal. The first single, Chikiri Chikiri, impressed audiences with its infectious energy and the signature musical brilliance of A. R. Rahman, quickly becoming a fan favourite. The track has reportedly crossed 200 million views across platforms, marking a blockbuster start.
Following its success, the second single, Rai Rai Raa Raa, brought a completely different flavour with its electrifying beats and striking choreography. The song has crossed 65 million views on YouTube, further fueling anticipation around the film.
With excitement for Peddi at an all-time high, the film is set to hit theatres on 4th June 2026. Positioned as next biggest films of the year, it will arrive just after the IPL season concludes, a perfectly timed release for a mega-screen spectacle that is expected to dominate the box office.
Last month, it was announced that Peddi had been postponed to June, but the date was not revealed. It was originally supposed to be released on April 30. The makers revealed that a small portion of the work was still remaining for the film. To ensure the best theatrical experience, the makers decided to give the technicians and post-production team more time. Consequently, the release date was pushed further.
Written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi stars Ram Charan in the titular role alongside Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu. The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas in association with Mythri Movie Makers, and is slated for release on June 4, 2026.
