Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is one of the most anticipated films of the year and is gearing up for its worldwide release on August 26. The much-awaited trailer was unveiled in Bengaluru in the presence of the cast and crew. At the event, Kiara Advani expressed gratitude to director Geetu Mohandas and Yash for believing in her and giving her the role of Nadia.
Kiara Advani expressed gratitude to Geetu and Yash at the trailer launch. "I truly believe that Geetu and Yash manifested for me to be Nadia in this film. They saw it in me and believed I was capable of this much before I knew that fearless leap I was ready to take as an actor. Today, when I watch every little bit of our film, I just want to say thank you, Geetu and Yash, for giving me a part that I know will be very, very special for me as an actor in my journey. I think there will be a Kiara before Toxic and a Kiara after Toxic. You all have spoilt me and every actor in this room," she said.
"I cannot wait for the world to experience Nadia. I cannot describe her in one word," she added while congratulating the cast and the technical team.
The makers of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups unveiled the first look of Kiara Advani as Nadia, revealing a layered and emotionally complex character. Later, in an interview, Kiara opened up about her character being grey and non-conventional. The actress also revealed that the role made her rethink the man-woman dynamics.
Kiara came into the spotlight after her song with Yash, Tabaahi, was released and their steamy chemistry grabbed attention. Reacting to the song, one user wrote, "A Cheap Copy Of Kabir Singh's Bekhayali", while another wrote, "What a disaster after KGF. This is what happens when your head swells and your reek of arrogance after one blockbuster and you think you are bigger than everyone else. A movie that is unwatchable for an entire family and especially young kids has and will never do well."
