Still from Ustaad Bhagat Singh
Pawan Kalyan and Sreeleela-starrer Ustaad Bhagat Singh hit theatres today, March 19. The makers preponed the film's release after the team of Yash's Toxic postponed their film. Pawan Kalyan's film was earlier scheduled to release on March 26. It was released on the occasion of Ugadi, taking advantage of the holiday.
After the early morning shows, fans of the actor took to social media to share their reviews of the film. Many described it as a full-on entertainer made for mass appeal. Some also said that the film serves as a fan entertainer but fails to impress as a movie.

The trailer of the film was unveiled a few days back. The two-minute, 14-second trailer shows Pawan Kalyan playing Bhagat Singh, a tough and honest police officer who stands up against crime.
Several scenes show the actor taking on goons and protecting common people. The trailer is packed with action sequences and strong punch dialogues expected to appeal to fans. Apart from action, it also hints at a romantic side to the story. Actors Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna appear as the female leads and share light romantic moments with Pawan Kalyan.
The film also features Ashutosh Rana, Nawab Shah, B.S. Avinash, R. Parthiban, Gautami, and Chammak Chandra in key roles.
Music for the film is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, while the background score is by Thaman S. Earlier this week, the makers also released the third single from the film's album.
Ustaad Bhagat Singh is based on the 2016 Tamil film Theri, which starred Vijay and was directed by Atlee. Work on the Telugu film began in 2023.
The cinematography is handled by Ayananka Bose, while editing is done by Ujjwal Kulkarni. The screenplay has been written by K. Dasharath, with additional writing by C. Chandra Mohan.
The film is set to face strong box office competition as it clashes with Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
