Veteran Telugu actor Pavala Shyamala has once again found herself at the centre of heartbreaking headlines after reports emerged that she was allegedly turned away from a private hospital due to lack of funds. The incident sparked concern across the Telugu film industry and among fans, leading producer Dil Raju to step in and arrange immediate assistance for the actress.

Pavala Shyamala's work front

Pavala Shyamala is a well-known face in Telugu cinema who has spent decades playing memorable supporting roles in hundreds of films since beginning her acting career in the mid-1980s. Known for portraying emotional, comic, and middle-class characters with authenticity, the actress built a strong reputation in Tollywood through character-driven performances. Before entering films, she was also active in theatre and stage performances.

However, the last few years have reportedly been extremely difficult for the veteran actor. According to reports, Shyamala recently visited a private hospital in Hyderabad seeking treatment for heart-related complications. She was allegedly denied admission because she could not afford the expenses. Reports further claimed that after being sent away in a taxi, she was later found helpless near a road junction late at night. Locals who noticed her condition informed the police, who shifted her to the RK Foundation for immediate care.

As the news spread online, producer and Telangana Film Development Corporation chairman Dil Raju quickly intervened. He reportedly sent his team to the hospital to coordinate with doctors and ensure the actress received proper medical attention. Members of his team later confirmed that Shyamala's condition was stable and that she had resumed eating after treatment began.

This is not the first time Pavala Shyamala has struggled financially. Over the years, several reports have highlighted her health problems and economic difficulties. In the past, filmmakers Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK had appealed to fans to support the actress through online fundraising efforts. Reports also stated that her daughter has battled severe illness, further worsening the family's financial situation.

Several Telugu film stars, including Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun and Sai Durgha Tej, have reportedly extended financial support to the actress over the years. The latest incident has once again drawn attention to the lack of financial security and healthcare support available to many veteran artists in the film industry.
