Allu Arjun received a grand welcome from fans in Visakhapatnam on Sunday as he visited the city to launch AAA Cinemas at Inorbit Mall. The actor's appearance triggered massive excitement, with fans gathering along the streets to catch a glimpse of him and even following his car.
Videos from the actor's visit have surfaced online, showing crowds gathering on Beach Road as Allu Arjun's convoy made its way through the city. Fans were seen surrounding his vehicle, while police and security personnel struggled to keep the crowd away from the car.
In one video, Allu Arjun could be seen stepping out through the sunroof of his car and waving at the fans, seemingly asking them to remain calm. Another clip showed fans following the actor's vehicle as it travelled along Beach Road, with crowds gathered on both sides of the road. The gathering also temporarily affected traffic in the area.
The Allu Arjun Fans Association of Vizag had initially planned a rally for the actor's visit but dropped the plan after not receiving police permission. A notice shared by the fan group said, "No rally or celebration by the Vizag team due to security reasons. Please cooperate and follow the security guidelines."
Despite the cancellation, fans turned up in large numbers to see their favourite star.
During his appearance at the mall, Allu Arjun also spoke about his long-standing connection with Visakhapatnam. Recalling the time when he used to shoot in the city, the actor said, "My association with Vizag goes back years. I never dreamt while shooting here years ago that one day a mall might come up here and I would have a multiplex there."
He added, "There was a time I would roam the streets while shooting Gangotri, and now I can't step out. I am extremely proud."
Fans also repeatedly asked the actor about his upcoming film Raaka. Responding to their questions, Allu Arjun revealed that he had taken a break from the film's ongoing shoot in Mumbai specifically to meet his fans in Vizag.
"Raaka? I've come here from the Raaka shoot. The shooting is going on in Mumbai, and I asked for a break to come here. I said I need to go to Vizag, see my fans and return," he said.
When fans interrupted his speech to request pictures, the actor paused his address and interacted with them on stage.
Raaka is a sci-fi film directed by Atlee and produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures. The film stars Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles and is expected to release in December 2027. Sai Abhyankkar is composing the music.
