On the 103rd birth anniversary of N. T. Rama Rao, Jr NTR visited NTR Ghat in Hyderabad to offer tribute. Jr NTR won praise online after he helped a fan who lost balance near him and picked him up calmly. His gesture drew praise on social media, with netizens calling him humble and generous.
Jr NTR visited NTR Ghat in Hyderabad on May 28 to mark the 103rd birth anniversary of his grandfather, legendary actor-politician N. T. Rama Rao. The actor arrived in the morning to offer floral tributes, with a large gathering of supporters and party workers present at the memorial.
During the visit, several visuals showed Jr NTR paying his respects at the flower-decked ghat and acknowledging fans who had gathered to catch a glimpse of him.
In one widely circulated video, a fan is seen reaching out towards Jr NTR before losing balance and falling near his feet. As security personnel moved in to control the situation, Jr NTR quickly intervened, helped the fan steady himself, and briefly ensured he was safe. The gesture drew appreciation on social media.
Jr NTR and his brother, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, visit NTR Ghat every year to pay tribute to their grandfather.
N. T. Rama Rao acted in over 300 films before founding the Telugu Desam Party and serving as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Incumbent CM N. Chandrababu Naidu is NTR's son-in-law, while Jr NTR, one of India's leading film stars, is his grandson.
Jr NTR celebrated his birthday a few days ago and shared the first glimpse of his upcoming magnum opus, Dragon. The makers of director Prashanth Neel's film announced the title as Dragon and also released an arresting glimpse video on Jr NTR's birthday.
The glimpse shows that Jr NTR plays Dragon, the assassin-in-chief of the Afghan Trading Company, one of the two prime entities involved in a global opium war. The video also shows that Anil Kapoor plays Raghuveer Rathod, the Chief of the Narcotics Bureau, and Biju Menon plays Jaleel Rahman, the Afghanistan Logistics Head.
The film was originally set to hit screens on June 25 this year. However, its release was later postponed to June 11 next year. It has triggered huge interest among fans and film buffs ever since the project was announced.
