Mumbai Police arrest two accused in IAF officer attempted murder case

Mumbai Police have arrested two men wanted in connection with an attempted murder case involving an Indian Air Force officer in Madhya Pradesh.

According to IANS, both the accused were subsequently handed over to the Satna Police after obtaining transit remand, officials said on Saturday.

The accused have been identified as Amarsingh Ashoksingh Parihar (25) and Abhigyan Tripathi (23), both residents of Satna district in Madhya Pradesh.

According to Mumbai Police, the duo was wanted in an attempted murder case registered in Satna. Acting on specific information regarding their presence in Mumbai, police tracked down and apprehended both the accused during a coordinated operation.

Accused produced in Mumbai court

Following their arrest, the Mumbai Police produced the accused before a local court and secured transit remand, a legal procedure that permits the transfer of arrested persons to the jurisdiction where the case has been registered.

After completing the necessary formalities, Parihar and Tripathi were handed over to the Satna Police for further investigation and custodial proceedings in Madhya Pradesh.

Police officials have not disclosed further details about the circumstances surrounding the attempted murder case or the alleged role of the accused, citing the ongoing investigation.
