Bengaluru Hanuman Chalisa row: Tejasvi Surya requests protestors to go back after he gets detained

On March 17, a mob attacked a shopkeeper over allegedly playing Hanuman Chalisa during ‘azaan’. A Hindu organisation held a protest in Bengaluru on March 19 over the Hanuman Chalisa row. Meanwhile, a clash erupted between Hindu organisation and Police during the protest. BJP Yuva Morcha National President Tejasvi Surya also joined the protest on March 19. Later, BJP MP Surya urged protestors to quit the demonstration after a clash with Bengaluru Police after he was detained. For the unversed,a Bengaluru shopkeeper was  allegedly beaten for playing loud music at the time of Azaan (Islamic call to prayer). The shopkeeper claims he was playing Hanuman Chalisa at this shop in central Bengaluru when the assault took place.
