He urged the Centre not to approve the project, warning it could affect Tamil Nadu’s water supply and violate Cauvery Tribunal and Supreme Court rulings. Vijay also requested permission for Tamil Thai Vazhthu to be played at the start of government events amid debate over the Centre’s Vande Mataram directive.
