Anjuman-I-Islam Allana English High School (Fort) clinched the Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) JBCN Super Cup U-16 inter-school cricket title, by securing a five-wicket win over Rest of Schools (RoS) in the final at Brabourne Stadium (Churchgate) on Thursday.
After electing to field, Harris Shield champs Anjuman bowled out RoS for 188 in 37.1 overs, thanks to Yuvan Sharma (5-16) and Vedant Kadu (4-43). Shourya Patil top scored for RoS with a 57-ball 67. Anjuman's chase of 189 was set up by opener Laxmanprasad Vishwakarma, who scored a 58-ball 66. Virat Yadav was the pick of the bowlers for RoS picking 3-42, but could not stop Anjuman from coasting to victory in 33.2 overs.
