CCI win Vijay Manjrekar–Ramakant Desai T20 tournament

Cricket Club of India (CCI) clinched the Vijay Manjrekar-Ramakant Desai T20 tournament, organised by Shivaji Park Gymkhana, with a 31-run victory over Islam Gymkhana in the final at Shivaji Park on Saturday.

CCI received a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000, while runners-up Islam Gymkhana got Rs 50,000.

CCI posted 197-7 in 20 overs before Islam Gymkhana were bowled out for 166 in 18.4 overs.

Meanwhile, ex-Test umpire Madhav Gothoskar and former Test cricketer Chandu Patankar were honoured with Lifetime Achievement Awards at the hands of former India cricketer Sandeep Patil. Parsee Gymkhana and Karnatak SA were the losing semi-finalists.
