After concluding the two-match Test series, Team India and South Africa are set to lock horns against each other in the three-match ODI series.
Ahead of the 50-over format series, here are the top five players to watch out for:
1. Virat Kohli
People will keep a tab on Team India stalwart Virat Kohli as he will be returning to action after the ODI series against Australia. The right-hander will be expected to deliver big knocks and bring his 'A-game' against the Proteas.
2. Rohit Sharma
Along with Kohli, Rohit Sharma will be one of the players to watch out for in the contest. The right-hander is also falling short of just two maximums from achieving the top spot on the list of players with the most sixes in the format's history. Currently, the Nagpur-born cricketer has 349 maximums to his name in the format.
3. Quinton de Kock
South Africa will heavily rely on one of their senior players, Quinton de Kock. Over the years, de Kock has been a pillar of the Proteas' batting line-up and will be expected to showcase his skills in the highly anticipated series against the "Men in Blue".
4. KL Rahul
KL Rahul, hailed as the most versatile batsman for India, will have a double role to play in the 50-over format series. Along with batting, the right-hander will also have to look after the leadership duties of the "Men in Blue". He has been appointed as captain for the ODI series, as Shubman Gill has been provided the rest due to his neck injury.
5. Dewald Brevis
One of the most exciting talents in the current set of players in the world is South Africa's Dewald Brevis. Having the bat swing similar to legendary South African cricketer AB de Villiers, people will have high expectations from the 22-year-old cricketer.
The first ODI match will be played on November 30th at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Jharkhand. The second clash is scheduled to be played Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Raipur on December 3. The ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam will host the third and final ODI match on December 6.
