In the IPL 2026 Qualifier 2 match against the Gujarat Titans (GT), the Rajasthan Royals' (RR) skipper Riyan Parag has won the toss and elected to bat first at the Maharaja Singh PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh.
After winning the toss, RR's skipper Riyan said, "We will bat first. Pretty much the same wicket, but I think it slows down at the backend, and we have the bowlers for it. We just need to play better cricket for 40 overs, the best team will win. The support staff have been incredible about recoveries and injuries. Same team".
On the other hand, the Titans will enter the clash with one change, where Sai Kishore will come in place of Kulwant Khejroliya.
GT's captain Shubman Gill said, "We would have batted first as well. Forty overs of cricket already on this wicket and it won't behave differently. We have everything to play for, it's a now or never situation. One change: Sai Kishore is back".
The fans will keep a tab on RR's in-form opening batsman, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. Currently, he is the leading run-scorer in the ongoing edition of the cash-rich league. So far in 15 matches, the left-handed batsman has accumulated 680 runs with an average of 45.33.
In his previous outing against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), the 15-year-old batsman scored 97 runs off just 29 deliveries, laced with five boundaries and 12 maximums.
The winning team from today's match will seal a berth in the final of the IPL 2026. The title clash of the marquee event is scheduled to be played against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on May 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
