A Finn Allen masterclass guided KKR to a comfortable win away to the Delhi Capitals. The Kiwi star showed his class as he bulldozed his way to a maiden IPL century to take KKR over the line.

The Kolkata Knight Riders started off well and were at 75/2 at the halfway stage of the innings against the Delhi Capitals. Both the openers looked in good form before Rahane was unfortunate to get out.

KKR captain Rahane looked on song before being run out for 13 runs. Allen hit the ball straight back before a slight touch from Mitchell Starc onto the stumps was enough to get rid of the KKR skipper, who was outside his crease.

Finn Allen continued attacking the DC bowlers as he scored a match-winning 100 runs in 47 balls. Cameron Green, too, supported him well, scoring 33 runs in 27 balls to take KKR to a much-needed win. The duo stitched together a partnership of 116 runs in 64 balls.

For DC, Axar Patel was the best bowler, taking the wicket of Angkrish Raghuvanshi. However, it was another tough day with the ball for the DC bowlers, who struggled against an in-form Allen. Kuldeep Yadav was expensive yet again as he was hit for 41 runs in just 3 overs.

Delhi Capitals scored 142 runs in their first innings

Earlier, the Delhi Capitals scored 142 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their 20 overs. Despite a good start, the DC innings faltered as they struggled in the middle overs.

Delhi Capitals raced to 55 runs for the loss of 1 wicket at the end of the powerplay against the Kolkata Knight Riders. Pathum Nissanka was the star batter as he smashed 50 runs in 29 balls before being dismissed.

Despite a strong start, the DC innings lost its momentum as they lost wickets in quick succession, as the KKR spinner dominated the proceedings. Ashutosh Sharma scored a fighting 39 runs off 28 balls in the death overs to take DC to a fighting total.

Anukul Roy and Kartik Tyagi took 2 wickets while Sunil Narine and Cameron Green chipped in with one each.
