In the IPL 2026 match against Rajasthan Royals (RR), Gujarat Titans (GT) emerged victorious by 77 runs at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
In an attempt to chase the target of 230 runs, the Royals were bowled for 152 runs in 16.3 overs.
Stand-in captain Yashasvi Jaiswal departed on three runs in four balls. Impact Player, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, managed to score 36 runs in 16 balls, laced with three boundaries and the same number of maximums.
Shimron Hetmyer was also dismissed on six runs in seven balls, which included a boundary. Wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel returned to the pavilion after scoring 24 runs in 10 balls, including a boundary and three maximums. Soon after Jurel's dismissal, Donovan Ferreira lost his wicket on four runs, which came in two balls, including a boundary.
Ravindra Jadeja played a knock of 38 runs in 25 balls, including three boundaries and two maximums. Shubham Dubey managed to score 15 runs in 14 balls, which included a boundary and a maximum. Jofra Archer lost his wicket on five runs in six balls, including a boundary.
Dasun Shanaka and Tushar Deshpande were dismissed for 16 and one run, respectively. Brijesh Sharma stayed unbeaten on one run in one ball.
Gujarat's star spinner Rashid Khan claimed four wickets by conceding 33 runs in four overs. Jason Holder also bagged three wickets by giving away 12 runs in 2.3 overs. Kagiso Rabada registered two wickets. Mohammed Siraj also managed to pick up one wicket. Impact Player, Sai Kishore, and Washington Sundar went wicketless in the IPL 2026 match against RR.
Earlier, having put to bat first, Gujarat Titans' (GT) opening batsman Sai Sudharsan scored 55 runs in 36 balls, including six boundaries and two maximums. Skipper Shubman Gill led from the front and delivered a knock of 84 runs off 44 deliveries, laced with nine boundaries and three maximums.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler returned to the pavilion after scoring 13 runs in 10 balls. His knock included a boundary and a maximum.
Later, Washington Sundar accumulated a crucial unbeaten 37 runs after facing 20 balls. His knock also included two boundaries and three maximums. Jason Holder was dismissed on seven runs in seven balls, including a boundary. Shouldering Sundar was Rahul Tewatia, who scored an unbeaten 14 runs in four balls, with the help of two maximums. With this, the Titans posted a total of 229 runs for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs against the Royals.
Rajasthan Royals' (RR) Brijesh Sharma returned with the figures of two wickets for 47 runs in four overs. Yash Punja and Ravindra Jadeja have claimed one wicket each. Having completed their spells of four overs each, Jadeja conceded 34 runs, and Punja was smashed for 37 runs. Jofra Archer, Tushar Deshpande, and Donovan Ferreira went wicketless in the IPL 2026 match against GT.
