In the Women's T20 Asia Cup 2026, Team India emerged victorious by 94 runs at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates.
In an attempt to chase a target of 160 runs, Thailand's team was bowled out for 65 runs in 16.1 overs.
Thailand's opening batswoman Natthakan Chantham scored four runs in five balls, including a boundary. Fellow opening batswoman Phannita Maya was dismissed on six runs in eight balls, including a boundary.
Aphisara Suwanchonrathi lost her wicket on one ball in six balls. Chanida Sutthiruang and Naomi Kanokporn Hamilton registered the scores of five and one run, respectively. Facing seven balls, Sutthiruang smashed a boundary, whereas Hamilton faced three balls. Nannaphat Chaihan registered a two-ball duck. Wicketkeeper-batswoman Nannapat Koncharoenkai scored 41 runs in 48 balls, with the help of five boundaries.
Suleeporn Laomi returned to the pavilion on six runs in 15 balls. Sunida Chaturongrattana and Onnicha Kamchomptu were dismissed on a one and zero-ball ducks. Stand-in skipper Thipatcha Putthawong stayed unbeaten on zero runs after facing two balls.
Team India's Nandani Sharma and Deepti Sharma claimed three wickets each. Shree Charani bagged two wickets. Kranti Gaud also chipped in with one wicket. Prema Rawat went wicketless in the Women's T20 Asia Cup 2026 match against Thailand.
Earlier, having been put to bat first, Team India's star opening batswoman Smriti Mandhana lost her wicket on 19 runs. Facing 10 balls, she smashed four boundaries. Fellow opening batswoman Shafali Verma delivered a knock of 64 runs in 36 balls, including eight boundaries and three maximums.
Pratika Rawal departed after scoring 22 runs in 18 balls, including two boundaries and a maximum. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur was dismissed on five runs in nine balls. Bharti Fulmali and wicketkeeper-batswoman Richa Ghosh registered 13 and zero runs, respectively. Facing 14 balls, Fulmali was smashed for two boundaries, whereas Ghosh was dismissed on one ball.
Deepti Sharma and Prema Rawat was dismissed on five and six balls, respectively. Facing seven balls, Deepti smashed a boundary, whereas Rawat smashed a boundary in five balls. Nandani Sharma also scored one run in four balls. Shree Charani and Kranti Gaud stayed unbeaten on six and 15 runs, respectively. Charani faced eight balls, whereas Gaud smashed a boundary and a maximum in eight deliveries. With this, the "Women in Blue" posted a total of 159 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs.
