Liverpool loan move is ideal at this time in my career: Centre-back Ronald Araujo

Uruguay defender Ronald Araujo, 27, called his season-long loan deal to Liverpool from Barcelona ‘ideal' for his career.

"It was the ideal move for me at this stage in my career. As soon as I heard that interest from Liverpool, everything went into action really quickly. I'm super happy to be here, and excited to get started," said Araujo.

Central defence was an area which needed strengthening following the departure of Ibrahima Konate to Real Madrid and the injury issues plaguing Jeremy Jacquet, Joe Gomez, and Geovanni Leoni.
