MSSA inter-school football tournament: Matunga goalie Agustya Kunder saves the day in battle of Don Boscos

Riding high on goalkeeper Agustya Kunder's heroics under the bar, Don Bosco High School (Matunga) edged past Don Bosco High School (Borivli) 4-3 via tie-breaker to enter the semi-finals of the boys U-16 Division I Dreams Sports MSSA inter-school football tournament at Wings Sports Centre, Bandra, on Monday.

The Borivli outfit set up a stubborn defensive block right from the start of the match. The Matunga boys tried hard but failed to breach the Borivli defence, with custodian Jaden Pinto denying Prajeet Vinayagamurthy and Harshal Devele time and again to ensure a goalless encounter.

In the shootout, Jacob Singh, Vivaan Charahiya, Devele and Kunder converted their spot-kicks for Matunga. Marc Fernandes, Keyon Bhoye, and Ryan Gonsalves scored for Borivli before Kunder saved Pinto's attempt to his right and Umang Gaikwad's show to his left.
