Ranya’s dashing debut for Podar

Podar International School CBSE (Powai), beat JBCN International School (Borivli) 1-0 in a Pool ‘B' girls U-16 Div-II match of the Dream Sports Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) inter-school football tournament at the Wings Sports Centre, Bandra, on Monday.

Ranya Gupta, 14, marked her tournament debut in style, scoring off a seventh-minute tap-in for Podar's close win.

Ranya, who relocated to Mumbai from Gurgaon in April, said: "I was in Heritage CBSE in Gurgaon, but didn't play there. I'm still adjusting to Mumbai and haven't explored much of the city yet."
