The victor has helped the Serbian seal the quarter-final berth and will lock horns against Taylor Fritz at the marquee event

With this, Djokovic has become the oldest player in the game's history to qualify for all four major singles quarter-finals in one season

He also joined the likes of Pancho Gonzalez, Jen Rosewall, and Jimmy Connors to become the fourth-oldest player to advance to the US Open's quarter-finals
