With this, Djokovic has become the oldest player in the game's history to qualify for all four major singles quarter-finals in one season
He also joined the likes of Pancho Gonzalez, Jen Rosewall, and Jimmy Connors to become the fourth-oldest player to advance to the US Open's quarter-finals
Speaking after the match, Djokovic said, "I don't know how many more I'm going to have, so obviously each one is very special and I want to thank all you guys for being present here tonight"
