Barmer: A 45-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by her brother-in-law and his friends repeatedly for over a year, police said today.
According to a complaint filed by the woman, her brother-in-law Chimnaram raped her over a year ago and later gang-raped her along with his three friends, identified as Ramaram, Sataram, and Kehnaram, Additional SP Raghunath Garg said.
She remained silent earlier as her husband is mentally disturbed and she is the breadwinner of the family, the ASP
said, adding, the woman decided to approach the police when the accused allegedly attempted to rape one of her daughters recently.
She gave a complaint to Garg demanding action against the accused following which the ASP has given directions to Baytoo Police Station to take appropriate action.
