Pointing out that his comment was an inadvertent one, the actor stressed upon the fact that he had high regard for former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M G Ramachandran. "Will I talk about him in that fashion? How can I have the courage to talk like that? When I studied in the Madras Film Institute, he was the Chief Minister. He would visit us to see how we were learning to act. I am nobody to speak about him. However, if the word that slipped out of my mouth has hurt any of you, please forgive me. I give you an assurance that in my life, I will never ever speak again in that fashion. Please forgive my mistake this time and close the issue," he appealed. For the unaware, Rajendra Prasad, during the course of his speech at an event, had heaped praise on veteran Telugu actor Kanta Rao. To err is human but on realising your mistake, you apologised. I thank you sir. It was very, very nice and sweet of you to understand and seek an apology. If somebody were to speak about you like that in future, we would definitely condemn it." The actor went on to say, "We might be of this generation, but several people who journeyed with the former Chief Minister like Saidai Duraisamy sir expressed pain at that comment (of yours). However, when you released a video tendering an apology for that comment, everybody was happy that you had realised your mistake. It was sweet of you to understand all our sentiments and on behalf of everyone -- there are so many fans with some even thinking that he (MGR) is still alive -- we are thankful." 14 March,2026 11:56 AM IST | Mumbai | mid-day online correspondentThe Tamil song Enjoy Enjaami was a widely popular chartbuster released in 2021. A year after its release, the makers of the song got into a credit row. Now, four years later, the controversy has resurfaced. On Friday, a war of words over the credit erupted between rapper Arivu and music director Santhosh Narayanan. How the credit war resurfaced after 4 years It all started with a social media user sharing the song on platform X and commenting on how the Tamil indie track had broken borders, gone global, and ruled the world during the lockdown. Responding to this post, another user alleged that “Dhee and her dad literally went ahead and stole this song from Arivu anna.” The reply caught the attention of music director Santhosh Narayanan, who responded strongly to the person who had levelled the allegation against singer Dhee. Quoting the allegation post, Santhosh Narayanan wrote on Friday, “Konjam rest edunga thambi (Take some rest, younger brother). Some useful information is already available everywhere if you only look for it. This song idea was conceived by Dhee and also has some of her tunes in it. The core storyline and concept of the song were done by director Manikandan, who was working on ‘Kadaisi Vivasayi’ with me at the time. I composed, produced, and created all the melodies in the song. Arivu wrote almost all the words and also performed. Some traditional Oppari lines were also adapted by Arivu. I only suggested the word ‘Enjaami’, like I always suggest words for most of my songs such as Rakita, Kanimaa, etc. Thankfully, we live in a digital domain where every claim can and should be proven.” Arivu claims he received no royalty for the song Following Narayanan's post, rapper Arivu issued a clarification on the row. Arivu wrote, “For clarity regarding ‘Enjoy Enjaami’ (released five years ago): The beat was sent to me. I wrote the lyrics, composed the main vocal melody, and performed the song based on my own cultural history and lived experience. Music is collaborative, but credit and compensation must also be fair. The song was shot in my village, with stories from my land and my people. I shared that history believing it would reach the masses. But I was placed only as a ‘featuring artist’ — despite writing the full song and composing the main melody.” Arivu further said, “Back then I did not understand what that meant. Five years later, the collaborators hold the rights and receive royalties, while I received no payment and no ownership for my work. This is not about sympathy. It is about credit, rights, and the dignity of labour. Independent artists: protect your work. Have agreements. Know your rights. — Arivu Valliamma Perandi.” Santhosh Narayanan calls Arivu dishonest Santhosh Narayanan responded strongly to Arivu’s tweet. He wrote, “You can have your own opinions, man. Pretty much every single one of your technical, ownership, and legal claims is dishonest and delusional, as always. Are you open to debating this on any medium or channel of your choice, with all the proofs of your claims? As your esteemed self has blocked me everywhere else, you can reply here and I shall be available anytime.” Arivu and Santhosh share their versions Arivu hit back at Santhosh Narayanan, saying, “My statement on credit, ownership, and compensation is already public. I tried multiple times to resolve this privately- even visiting your home. Those efforts went nowhere. This isn’t a social media debate. Facts speak for themselves. Appropriate channels exist.” Santhosh Narayanan then wrote, “Yes, this should never have been a social media talking point until you made it one with brazen lies. Again, a beautiful fabrication of deceit when you say you tried to resolve this. You never responded once during all those trying times when I had to stay silent. Also, you came home once last year to invite me to your marriage (I was abroad and my staff told me later). This was after you had blocked me and made a song about it. Anba dhan pesuven (I will only talk with love). I promise — let’s debate this, man."

The filing also alleges that since 2021, Vijay had emotionally withdrawn from the marriage, treated his wife with verbal disdain and subjected her to constructive desertion, forcing her to live separately within the matrimonial home. Priyanka Mohan on challenges of shooting in Korea Talking to IANS, the actress said that food was one of the two main challenges she faced during the shoot. “Food was quite a problem for me because they put red meat in most dishes,” she said. When asked if she was a vegetarian, she replied, “I am mostly vegetarian, but now I eat a little bit of chicken.” The other challenge, she said, was the unpredictable weather. “You could have the sun shining in the morning, rain in the afternoon and snow by night. Shooting in such dynamic weather conditions was quite challenging,” she explained. Despite the difficulties, Priyanka said she thoroughly enjoyed the experience and working with Korean actors. She even admitted to feeling withdrawal symptoms after the shoot ended. “This was my first international collaboration, and the Korean artistes are very down-to-earth. He said, "With all due respect, Aditya Dhar is a superior filmmaker. I watched Uri. He is a very impactful, very influential filmmaker. Having said that, India-wide films should consider Dhurandhar as competition. But we have our Telugu states for the film. Also, they both belong to very different genres. If, in place of Dhurandhar, it was an SRK (Shah Rukh Khan) movie, songs, full entertainer zone, then we would have thought, 'Oh, it's similar to our film.' But Bhagat Singh and Dhurandhar are totally different films." Harish added, "Also, it's a collective decision. It wasn't in my hands alone. Somewhere within, I too felt, I am doing a film with Pawan Sir after so long, and for that film to compete with any other big film. And still, whether it's Sankranti or summer, it's always a combination. There is space for 2-3 big films to work. It's not like they won't show any other film except Dhurandhar across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana."
