Alia has sung in films like 'Kapoor & Sons', 'Highway' and 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya'.

When asked if she would like to come out with an album, Alia told reporters, "I definitely want to sing songs but I am not a good professional singer. If I get opportunities like these then I will sing. But focus right now is on films. Later may be, I might cut an album."

The 23-year-old 'Shaandaar' actress was speaking at the launch of "Ikk Kudi" song from her upcoming 'Udta Punjab'. The song, composed by Amit Trivedi, has been sung by Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh, who also co-stars in the film.

"He (Diljit) has sung it beautifully. I am a big fan of him, his voice and his work. It is very interesting how he has sung the song in his own way."

"Udta Punjab", directed by Abhishek Chaubey, has been made after four years of research and is based around the drug-related problems prevalent in Punjab.

The film stars Shahid Kapoor as a high-on-drugs rockstar Tommy Singh and Alia as a Bihari migrant.

Kareena Kapoor Khan is a doctor, who is determined to fight the illegal transportation of drugs, while Diljit portrays a police officer.

The film is scheduled to release on June 17.
