Bhagat Singh Koshyari takes oath as New Maharashtra Governor in Marathi

Koshyari, who has served as a college teacher in Uttar Pradesh's Etah district greeted all the teachers on the occasion of Teachers Day

On Thursday, senior politician and former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Bhagat Singh Koshyari was sworn-in as the 19th Governor of Maharashtra. Interestingly, an unexpected gesture, the senior politician took oath as the Governor of Maharashtra in Marathi.

Koshyari, who has served as a college teacher in Uttar Pradesh's Etah district also greeted all the teachers on the occasion of Teachers Day as soon as he finished taking his oath. Earlier in the day, Chief Justice Pradeep Nandrajog of the Bombay High Court administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari.
