Reports claim former World No 1 Serbian tennis beauty Ana Ivanovic has married Germany’s FIFA World Cup-winning midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger in an intimate ceremony
Former World No 1 Serbian tennis beauty Ana Ivanovic and Germany’s FIFA World Cup-winning midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger have reportedly secretly married at an undisclosed location with family and friends by their side.
According to a report in Italian website La Gazzetta earlier this week, the couple visited a jeweler to purchase a diamond ring. The report also claimed that Ivanovic was later seen wearing the ring.

World No 6 Ivanovic, who lost in the second round of the Italian Open, was asked by British tabloid The Sun about her marriage reports, but she refused to comment.
Ivanovic and Schweinsteiger have been in an on and off relationship ever since a picture of the couple holding hands and strolling in New York was published in September last year, around the same time Ivanovic was ousted from the US Open in the second round.
Just before that, in August, Ivanovic had nominated Schweinsteiger for the ice bucket challenge.
In September-October, Schweinsteiger was then said to have dumped Ivanovic for his ex-girlfriend model Sarah Brandner.
However, a month later, for Ivanovic’s 27th birthday last November, Schweinsteiger flew in to Belgrade to be by her side.
It was reported that Schweinsteiger wanted to ensure that the visit was discreet.
The 30-year-old footballer along with his Bayern teammates was then seen attending a party thrown by Ivanovic in February this year in Munich giving strong indication that he was indeed in a relationship with the tennis player.
He also proudly displayed the Serbian player’s national flag on his football boots, and continues to do so.
Ivanovic has reportedly dated a number of athletes in the past including Spanish tennis player Fernando Verdasco and Australian golfer Adam Scott.
Schweinsteiger meanwhile, was involved in a relationship with Brandner since 2007. Get set for some more action.
