Why the anger at Arjun Tendulkar's selection over Pranav is 'wrong'

Being angry and agitated about a multitude of causes and having an opinion is a very human trait that there from the start of time But imposing that opinion and taking up for causes on social media without verification is a newage human traitOn Tuesday Sachin Tendulkars son Arjun and Pranav Dhanawade the teenage cricket sensation who scripted cricket history with an unbeaten knock of 1009 started trending on social media platformsSachin Tendulkar and son Arjun PicAtul KambleThere was a lot of indignation on Twitter and Facebook over the privileged Arjun Tendulkar being picked over autodrivers son PranavOn inspection it emerged that that Arjun was picked for the U16 West Zone squad for an interzonal tournament that had started from May 24 on Hubli and it will conclude next Monday on June 6The squad announced by Baroda Cricket Association secretary Snehal Parikh was selected by the All India Junior Selection Committee last week on May 23rdThe meeting was presided by its chairman Rakesh Parikh and the selection committee comprises coaches Tushar Arothe Shantanu Sugwekar Samir Dighe and J Krishna RaoBut the indignation is misplaced since people are raising a question about Arjun being selected over Pranav in the India under16 team whereas the truth is its the West Zone squadFurthermore the West Zonersquos u16 team is picked from the MCA under16 team which Pranav wasnt a part of Arjun was a part of it and hence eligible for selectionAdd to the mix the fact that Arjun Tendulkar is an allrounder and would not have been competing with Pranav in any caseAlso all this is speculation because ultimately none of the people talking on social media were there in the selection meeting and to allude that Sachin Tendulkar influenced it or that Arjun got in because of his genesis just plain wrongFurther the Arjun Tendulkar bashing which indirectly targets cricket legend Sachin comes at a time when comedian Tanmay Bhat is being hauled over the coals over his video mocking Sachin Tendulkar and Lata MangeshkarIt is hypocrisy to at the same time protect an icon and also target himPranav Dhanawade poses with the scoreboard in Kalyan after scoring the world record 1009 not outBut peoples heckles were raised by the injustice of the act Here are some of the tweetsBCCI I dont know why Pranav Dhanawade has not been into the playing 11 of U16 India teamStop politicizing the gameSelect the deservingmdash sushantkumarsinha sushantsinha2 May 31 2016Shameful to find nepotism from the edge of bharatRatnaAwardee sachin_rt s son in under 16No pranav dhanawade pictwittercomGHPRqjGML9mdash Divyanshu Pandey chintuhits May 31 2016Untold story of Pranav Dhanawades1000 runs record httpstconp3Su6RigY STFU Know facts Stop blaming Sachin pictwittercom0QzcziaFs9mdash spectrum alwayscharan4u May 31 2016Are u being fair to Pranav Dhanawade a rickshaw drivers sonianuragthakur sachin_rt kamaalrkhanPlease RT pictwittercomYIo5ouqcoFmdash Pramod Speaks PramodSpeaks May 31 2016Pranav Dhanawade is not even eligible for selection as he is over 16 but ppl are posting this Idiots pictwittercomuid9ukpqLZmdash Abs AapkaAbs May 30 2016As with every debate there were some who stood up for Arjun too25 Chances 10Yr Old lsquopacersrsquo 30yard boundaries World record amp Social Media wants selection for Westzone Under16 httpstcoxGE6FtS6vKmdash Prabhu Cricprabhu May 31 2016pranavdhanawade Everyone is talking about one player arjuntendulkarwhy arent u focusing on the rest 10 players who ever selectedmdash senthil babu npsbabu May 31 2016
