Imran Khan to turn director; Sidharth Malhotra to feature in the film?
Aamir Khan's nephew Imran Khan, who did not exactly make it as a leading actor in Bollywood, will return as director
Imran Khan is all set to make his directorial debut and if the grapevine is to be believed, it could be a Dharma production. There had been talk that the actor is keen to go behind the camera. He was also said to be penning a script. Last seen in Katti Batti (2015), which had Kangana Ranaut as co-star, Aamir Khan's nephew did not exactly make it as a leading actor in Bollywood. There is also talk that Sidharth Malhotra will feature in his directorial outing.
Since the debacle of Katti Batti, things haven't looked up for Khan. The rumours about the actor planning to turn director were doing rounds since last year itself. But luck wasn't exactly on his side. He even met a few producers, including Atul Kasbekar, who after Neerja, was looking for interesting concepts then. However, Imran couldn't manage to find anyone to back his vision, until now.
We also heard that a producer that he met in February 2017 insisted that the script be reworked, sending Imran scribbling all over again. Maybe, he turned to Mamujaan Aamir for some advice and finally it's in place?
