One person died and two others were injured in a landslide that occured at the Mumbai-Pune Expressway on Sunday.

The incident took place around 12 pm noon near the Aadush tunnel in Khopoli.

According to the police, "Big boulders fell on both sides of the road from a distance of 10 feet. A car passing by near the tunnel got stuck after the first boulder's fall with the second one almost crushing the vehicle. One person died on the spot while two are suffering from major injuries."

They further added, "Traffic has been affected on both sides and is moving at a snail's pace. The road leading from Mumbai to Pune has been closed."
