Raipur: An 8-year-old boy was allegedly sodomised by a peon at a government school in Kanker district, following which the accused has been arrested.
Indrajeet (48), has been arrested today for sodomising the boy, a class III student at a government school under Kotwali police station limits in Kanker, a police official told PTI on Friday.
As per preliminary investigation, the incident took place on Thursday inside a toilet of the school. Upon returning home, the boy narrated the incident to his parents, following which they lodged a complaint this morning, he said.
The peon has been booked under IPC section 377 (unnatural offence) and relevant sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act-2012, the officer said.
Further probe into the matter is on, he added.
