An 18-year-old man drowned in a lake in suburban Powai where he had gone for fishing on Saturday, police said.

An 18-year-old man drowned in a lake in suburban Powai where he had gone for fishing on Saturday, police said. The deceased has been identified as Mohamad Farhan. He had gone to the Powai lake for fishing with his friends in the afternoon, police sources said.


According to a senior officer, as per Farhan's father, he was suffering from a problem of fits. He slipped off the boat they were in and fell into the water after suffering one such attack, the officer said, adding his body was later fished out. The officer added, "A case has been registered and the matter is being investigated further."
