Mumbai woman goes missing along with her two children
After her husband refused to cough up the Rs 15,000 admission fee of their sons, she and her kids left their Dahisar residence; a missing complaint has been registered
A 34-year-old woman along with her two children has gone missing from Dahisar since July 19 after her husband refused to give her the admission fee of their children. The Dahisar police has registered a missing complaint.
Soni Brijesh Singh, with her kids Punit and Mayank, went missing on July 19
A cop from the Dahisar police station said, “The missing woman, identified as Soni Brijesh Singh, and her two children — Punit (3) and Mayank (4) — resided at Ashok Van at Dahisar East. Last month, Soni asked him to give her Rs 15,000 to pay the school fee of their kids but the latter refused. On the contrary, he told her that he had a low income and their kids should take admission next year.”
When contacted, Brijesh said, “On July 19, my wife and two kids left home to give clothes for laundry but didn’t return. I registered a missing person’s compliant with the Dahisar police station on the same day but they are still untraceable. I work in a small-scale industry and have a meagre salary.
My wife had mortgaged her gold earrings and also took a loan of Rs 5,000 from her friend in my absence. But the amount wasn’t sufficient enough to help our kids get admission. This led to a lot of fights between us and this is the sole reason why she has left me.”
