New Delhi: The BJP will not take any action against its defiant Lok Sabha member Shatrughan Sinha till after the Bihar election, a senior party leader said on Monday.

Asked whether the Bharatiya Janata Party would take action against Sinha, the leader said on condition of anonymity: "Will talk after counting in Bihar election."

On Sinha's continuous remarks supporting Janata Dal-United leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he said: "What can I say about what is not in my hand."

Sinha -- popularly known as "Shotgun" -- had recently called Nitish Kumar the country's best chief minister and has been continuously embarrassing the BJP through his statements.

Sinha had recently expressed unhappiness over the suspension of 25 Congress members by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.

He was also among the around 200 celebrities who had urged President Pranab Mukherjee to reconsider the mercy plea of 1993 Mumbai blasts convict Yakub Memon.

The BJP leader said the main issue of the Bihar election would be the "unholy" alliance of the JD-U with Lalu Prasad's Rashtriya Janata Dal.

"Other than 'jungle raj', crisis of power, law and order, our main issue will be the unholy alliance of Nitish and Lalu. Nitish can do anything for power. Since the age of 17, Nitish had been a strong critic of the Congress and since the last 20 years, he was fighting against Lalu. But for power he joined hands with them," the party leader said.

Asked about the BJP's chief ministerial face to counter Nitish Kumar, the BJP leader said: "The lotus (the BJP's election symbol) only."

He also said none of the ministers in the Narendra Modi cabinet will fight the Bihar polls.
