Kabir Khan announced his next project with Salman Khan two months ago, but the hunt for the leading lady doesn’t seem to end. Initially, there were rumours that Katrina Kaif will reunite with Salman in the film titled Tubelight though he is yet to officially confirm the leading lady. If sources are to be believed then the director is keen to have Katrina Kaif while the actor is willing to give a chance to Deepika Padukone.

A source says, “The casting process for Salman’s heroine has been on for some time now. There were quite a few actresses in the discussion. However Kabir is friends with Katrina and has worked with her in the past. They share a great rapport and the role too is suitable for her. So he was in favaour of having her on board.”
It is said that Kabir considers Katrina his lucky mascot too. On the other hand Salman has apparently suggested Deepika’s name. A source says, “Salman has not worked with Deepika and this is the reason why he is recommending her name. However the final choice is going to be made soon followed by the announcement by the makers before the film goes on floor in next few months.”
